Islamabad: The climate change ministry is extending help to the Gilgit-Baltistan government to plant trees on its 300 sites with an aim to absorb carbon and stabilize soil in hazard-prone areas. According to the details, the work on the 4-year mega project that was approved in October last year has now formally been initiated and the process of selection of sites to plant 50 million trees is underway in collaboration between the federal and the G-B government. The G-B government will contribute 4.2 million dollar while it will receive $537,000 grant from the donor agencies to complete the project within the stipulated time period. The methodology to evaluate risk and vulnerability and identify hazard-prone and steep-slope sites will be used, which could benefit from the plantation for stabilization, particularly along roads and critical infrastructure. EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A cat was stuck high in a tree in Evansville, but heâs now safe.
Viewers say he had been stuck in the tree for at least five days.
The tree was on Sheffield Drive near Thompkins Middle School.
High Score Saloon offered $200 to a tree trimmer or someone who might have the equipment to come get it down.
Later Monday they said the cat had been rescued thanks to DJâs Tree Service.
Prairieville Township crash leaves one dead

PRAIRIEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. â Barry County Sheriffâs Office investigated a fatal crash in Prairieville Township today which resulted in the death of one woman.
A car driven by the woman, 26, ran off the roadway and hit a tree. She was transported to Ascension Borgess Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
It is unknown what spurred the crash at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - DPS reports a Kilgore man has died after driving off the road into a ditch and striking a tree.
Saturday at 12:30 AM, troopers responded to a fatal crash on FM-2276 approximately two miles east of the city of Kilgore in Rusk County. The investigator’s preliminary report indicates that the driver of a 2007 Ford F150 was traveling south on FM-2276 when the vehicle drifted off the right edge of the roadway, the driver overcorrected back to the left and traveled across the roadway into the east ditch and struck a tree.
